Allergen Policy

For food sold at a distance, mandatory allergen information must be available before the customer completes their purchase and again when the food is delivered, and that information must be current and accurate.

Please read the allergen information on individual product pages carefully before placing an order.

Katy's Cakery handles a range of ingredients and allergens within our kitchen.

Depending on the product, our bakes may contain or have ingredients carrying precautionary allergen statements for allergens including:

WHEAT (GLUTEN), SOYA, NUTS and PEANUTS.

The specific allergen information applicable to each product will be displayed on its product page and supplied with the product where required.

Cross-contamination

Although we take care when preparing our products and follow food hygiene and allergen-management procedures, our kitchen is not an allergen-free environment.

We therefore cannot guarantee that any product will be completely free from traces of allergens handled within our kitchen or present through our ingredient supply chain.

If you have a severe food allergy or require food to be completely free from a particular allergen, please do not order unless the product information confirms that it is suitable for your requirements and you are satisfied with the allergen information provided.

Mystery boxes

Mystery and Trial Boxes contain flavours selected by Katy's Cakery.

Because customers cannot select the individual flavours included, these products may not be suitable for customers who need particular ingredients or allergens excluded.

Please read the allergen information provided on the relevant Mystery or Trial Box product page before purchasing.

We cannot accommodate allergen exclusions or flavour substitutions unless the product page specifically states otherwise.

Ingredient changes

Recipes and supplier ingredients can occasionally change.

We work to keep our website allergen information accurate and up to date. Always check the allergen and ingredient information supplied with the product before eating it, particularly if you have an allergy or intolerance.

If an ingredient change materially affects the allergen information for an order already placed, we will take appropriate steps to ensure accurate information is provided.
