About Us

Katy's Cakery has technically been around since I was 10. Well, the name has anyway.

I've wanted to have my own bakery for as long as I can remember, and 10-year-old me apparently decided Katy's Cakery was going to be the name. All these years later, it finally made it out of my head and into a little pink shed in Cheshire. 

I went vegan around two years ago and haven't looked back since, so when I finally started the Cakery, there was never really a question that the bakes would be vegan too.

But flavour comes first. Always.

I don't want someone to try one of my cookies and say, "that's really good for something vegan." I want them to say, "that's really good."

That's why you'll find big flavours, ridiculously tasty fillings and plenty of chocolate around here. Everything just happens to be 100% vegan.

And despite the name, Katy's Cakery definitely isn't a one-woman operation. My wife and my mum help me every single week, whether we're baking, packing, prepping for markets or getting the shed ready to open. I genuinely couldn't do it without them.

So, between me, my wife, my mum and one little pink shed, we're slowly turning something I dreamed up when I was 10 into the bakery I always wanted it to be.

And that's pretty cool, really.
